There seems to be some movement in the Outrigger canoe lately. The recent departures of its VP of Sales and VP of Brand have led to two key positions opening, and there has been chatter about other potential changes at the senior levels, though we have nothing solid to report just yet.
What we can report is a strong addition in Kona: Outrigger has named John Dominguez Director of Sales and Marketing at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa. Dominguez brings more than 25 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience, including more than a decade at Waikoloa Beach Marriott, and he previously led sales and marketing at the Kona property during its Sheraton days. With a few paddlers apparently changing seats, bringing aboard someone who already knows the resort, Hawaiʻi Island, and the relationships that drive business there makes a lot of sense.
