How to Keep HHH Out Of Your Spam Folder

Did you know the term SPAM used for junk mail is an actual acronym? It comes from a law called the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN-SPAM Act), and the acronym SPAM was a nod to this Monty Python skit.

Why do I mention this amusing and somewhat random tidbit? Well, I received a few notes from people that they have to dig this newsletter out of their spam folder. If you’re finding this in your spam folder, follow the directions below to ensure that you get your HHHI fix, especially now that we are going twice a month!

If you use Gmail:

  1. Go to your Spam or Promotions folder.
Find the newsletter and drag it into your Primary tab.
  2. If prompted, click “Yes” to “Do this for future messages?”
  3. Then, click into the email and hit the star icon to mark it as important.
  4. Add dan@hawaiihotelhui.com and hhhi@mail.beehiiv.com to your contacts.

If you use Outlook:

  1. Go to your Junk folder.
  2. Right-click the newsletter and choose “Mark as not junk” or “Not spam.”
  3. Then, right-click the email again and choose “Add to Safe Senders” or “Add to Contacts.”
  4. Add dan@hawaiihotelhui.com and hhhi@mail.beehiiv.com to your contacts.
