Ownership Companies: portfolio based - Economy: $3 per room - Standard (midscale to upscale): $4.50 per room - Luxury (luxury and upper upscale): $5 per room - Independent: $4.50 per room - Third-party managed portfolio portion: $2 per managed room Management Companies: $2 per managed room Hotel Brands: $0.50 per room Branded Properties paying directly: same grid as above - Economy $3, Standard $4.50, Luxury $5, Independent $4.50 per room Independent Properties: in most states listed by AHLA, join via the state association; otherwise $4.50 per room annually Note: Some states administer dual state–AHLA memberships through their associations.
